What We Print On
Because a great image deserves the perfect canvas.
The material you choose changes everything about how your photo feels in a room. From the warm, rustic texture of natural wood to the sleek, modern pop of high-gloss metal, here is a look at the premium substrates we use in our Barrie studio every single day.

The Classic: Canvas Wraps
For a timeless, museum-quality feel. We print your image onto premium, heavy-weight canvas and hand-stretch it over a sturdy wooden frame right here in the shop. Our canvas is produced right here in Canada and so are our stretcher bars – sourced from sustainable Quebec forests.
- Best for: Family portraits, landscapes, and reproductions of paintings.
- Finish options: Extended edge (you won’t lose any of your image because we extend the sides), or solid colour borders.
- For ready-to-hang canvas, we put a wire on the back and include those little rubber bumpers on the bottom to keep it straight on your wall.
- Also available in rolled canvas in case you want to send it or take it somewhere.
The Modern: Metal Prints
If you’re looking for something a little different, consider metal prints. Available in Vivid metal (very shiny), and Brushed Aluminum (when light hits the brushed aluminum, they get brighter, almost like backlit). The smaller Vivid Metal are available with either an easel back or wall mount. The Brushed Aluminum have a float mount (called that because the print looks like it’s floating on the wall)
- Best for: High-contrast photography, vibrant sunsets, cars, and modern decor.
- Finish options: High Gloss (maximum punch but very shiny) or Brushed Aluminum (reduced glare but has a brushed metal texture).
- Great for scenery photos and ideal for photos from your phone.

The Rustic: Natural Wood Prints
Warm, unique, and full of character. We print your photograph directly onto a thick panel of natural wood. The beautiful organic wood grain to show through the lightest parts of your photo. No two prints are ever exactly alike.
- Best for: Outdoor portraits, rustic wedding photos, vintage imagery, and cottages.
- Display options: Bordered (unobstructed wood surrounds the image) or edge to edge (the image extends fully to each side). 8×10 and smaller come with either an easel back stand or wall mount (your choice). Larger sizes have a wall mount system and we supply the hardware for hanging.

The Modern: Glossy Wood Prints
High gloss – the colours pop. These are very vibrant and look amazing with lots of colour. They are very similar in appearance to acrylic prints.
- Best for: Vibrant and colourful images of scenery and nature but family photos also look great on them
- Display options: 8×10 and smaller come with either an easel back stand or wall mount (your choice). Larger sizes have a wall mount system and we supply the hardware for hanging.
The Standard: Professional Photo Papers
Our Standard Prints are produced on professional-grade photographic paper designed to resist fading for generations. Perfect for framing behind glass or building family albums.
- Lustre Finish: The perfect photographic print finish. Slight texture, deep colours, and highly resistant to fingerprints. (Our most popular).
- Usually ready same day or next day.
- Available in Standard (edge to edge), bordered and vintage styles.

premium and fine art papers
Our premium and fine art papers are a cut above the rest. If you’re looking for that “wow” factor in your prints, you’ve come to the right place. Available in a variety of weights and finishes, we have the perfect paper for your prints.
- Pearl Finish: A heavyweight premium photographic paper, pearl paper has the sheen of a pearl (who would’ve thought?). Has a very wide colour gamut and is perfect for any type of photo.
- Matte Art Paper: Same price as our Pearl Paper but with absolutely no shine and yet holds excellent saturation for a matte paper. Ideal for those looking for something a little different than your average photo paper.
- Watercolour Paper: Cold pressed and acid neutral, this is a true watercolour paper. Textured and ideal for watercolour print reproduction, or for any image that you want an artsier look.
- Vibrance Metallic: The only paper we carry that could be considered “glossy”, this paper has the same shine as Kodak’s white metallic paper from the 80’s.
- Hahnemuhle Rag 308: 100% cotton paper with a great feel. Very heavyweight (308 gsm) with a very subtle texture and a slightly warm hue, this paper is great for pretty much any image.
- Hahnemuhle Metallic: Totally different than our other metallic paper, this paper has the look of true metal. A very unique paper.
